Post Audit

You pay nothing if we recover nothing. Post Audit is a systematic review of paid freight bills and/or vendor invoices by experienced auditors at Commercial Traffic. Each year, our auditors recover more than $5 million in errors for our Post Audit customers. Upon discovery of errors, we file claims with instructions that refunds be made payable to you and forwarded to Commercial Traffic for posting and processing. Recoveries (refunds or credit memos) are divided between the customer and Commercial Traffic.

It is reported that one out of every five bills may be in error. This is because deregulation has made rating bills extremely complicated. Discovering incorrect rates, erroneous product classifications, duplicate payments and even simple clerical errors will enable you to recover hundreds of dollars in transportation costs.

We have more than 10,000 different tariffs on file to reference for the Post Audit. Our extensive tariff library and database is maintained by a full time staff at an expense of over $100,000 a year.

We work together with you, by phone or correspondence, to resolve any questions that arise during your audit in order to maximize your returns. The post audit is confidential and is done in a timely manner directly from your files, without disturbing the sequence of your bills.

During the Post Audit, a report of claims still open, recovered and/or canceled, is available to you if you wish to monitor the activity.
